The Five Elements. Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, Wood, clockwise from upper left. There's nothing very clever about these two paintings, in fact sort of the opposite. I think maybe they're the counterpart of the mangled english slogans you see on the kids' T-shirts in China. But I had fun relating to these characters as I felt they should be treated.
